I love this restaurant. I try to go there every time I get back to my dear sweet hometown. The food is great and the service is how I like it. I have to say I like when somebody leaves me to eat rather than ask me every two seconds how things are, cuz then I have to talk with my mouth full, and that's not polite. If I need something I say excuse me and somebody comes, no problem. Great restaurant, great meat free restaurant, great food.

About the bad service others have noted: I personally would rather have my servers only come by when I need them instead of snooping in my mid mouthful to ask fakely "How's everything?" And I feel that's what the Cornerstone does - they notice when I need more coffee, or I'm done with my plates, or need more beer. If you ever want to experience the culture of downtown Guelph this is where to go; there's always poetry readings, indie musicians, the decor is comfy with brick walls and hardwood floors, and the vegan club sandwich is awesome, and their daily specials board is always great. Best streetside patio too in the summer too...there's a reason why it's impossible to get a table outside in the summer, or a table inside for Sunday brunch - this place is great!

Everything on this menu is amazing. I have been here MANY times and nothing has been even mediocre, always delicious. I go with non-vegetarians who love it here. Good prices and atmosphere. Try the antijitos and the tofu chocolate cheesecake!*

As a vegetarian, I love the food and drinks at...

As a vegetarian, I love the food and drinks at cornerstone. Great well-priced food such as the avocado and tofu stuffed club sandwich, greek salad, tasty desserts and great soy lattes. This keeps me going back. The one problem I have is that the some of the staff makes people feel unwelcome. I consistently receive attitude from some of the employees which I can assume is for my high-maintenance, non-tree hugger appearance. There are a couple of servers there that are great, attentive and friendly. But the manager needs to be aware that the staff doesn't treat everyone the same.
