I was here for a Friday lunch with a party of 4 in a comfortable booth. There are hooks to hang your coat up at each booth. The seared tuna with bacon sandwich was so delicious. I was somewhat looking for a healthier option. You gotta love rare and tender or else don't order this. I normally love their yam fries but stuck with regular fries this time around. I am 72 yr. old lady A&W is my favorite hamburger place. I miss the old A&W song. EVERY restaurant I go to I sing it to the employees. I know it by heart. They say they have never heard it before and love it. I remember in the 60s as a teen how they would bring your order on a tray on roller skates and hang the tray on the side of your car. I never knew how delightfully delicious a cup of very hot mint tea could be. That was the beginning of an amazing restaurant experience. The Moroccan chef owner is living his dream to have his own restaurant, despite the cruel rent in Vancouver. He is a charming gentleman and his crepes are perfect.This was my first experience of Moroccan food and I am enchanted. This man is an artist. This little restaurant opened about a year or so ago and is now officially our favourite Japanese restaurant in the neighbourhood. The sushi is nothing short of amazing. An incredible selection of original roll creations is augmented by all of the favourites. What's best is they use wild salmon for their creations and obviously keep abreast of what is fresh at the market judging by their ever-changing special board. I had some wild hamachi sashimi there that just about made me swoon it was so amazing. The noodle soup is very flavourful as well and the only teeniest suggestion I could make would be to remove the skin from the chicken before plopping it into the soup. To top off your meal the tempura bananas and ice cream is not to be missed. The restaurant itself is what you would expect decor-wise but a neat and kitschy touch they include is customer testimonials posted all around the restaurant. The location in the heart of Main and the service also can't be beat. Truly some of the best sushi I've ever eaten. Lire plus
